This study out of Johns Hopkins identifies another potential use for Acriflavine as a cancer agent. This drug was developed back in the 1930's as a treatment for gonorrhea. These researchers found that this small molecule inhibits the dimerization of HIF-1 and stops blood vessel growth. Very cool!
