We went to see this small gallery exhibit today at the 1055 Taylor gallery right next to Grace Cathedral. The exhibit was put on by Susan Reynolds and displayed photos from her 4 years of travelling around and going to various Indian powwows. She told a pretty personal story and she had some pretty good insight into the American Indian culture and the effects of other religious forces on it. Her pictures were pretty colorful and vibrant and I hope her work will help publicize the comminuty involvement, excitement, and fun that an Indian powwow provides. We chatted with her for a little bit after her slideshow and, I think we are going to try to get a couple of her prints!
