Sam's in Half Moon Bay

It was KL's birthday yesterday and I took her on a drive down to Half Moon Bay to check out the ocean.  We took a stroll down the beach, stopped to have a drink at the Miramar restaurant, and then headed to Sam's Chowder House for a snack.  KL ended up having 1/2 a chilled crab and I opted for the bay fries.  Their deck area has these great deep wooden chairs that are surprisingly super comfortable and fire pits that keep it warm when the sun starts to go down.  And, of course, the view is great!  On this day, however, there was about 100 people out on the beach digging for clams in the mud uncovered at low tide.  It looked disgusting!
